The Monster of the Opera (1964) -- Highly obscure Italian Gothic horror directed by Renato Polselli. This is the ill fated sequel to the director's better known work 'Vampire and the ballerina'.

A troupe arrives at a disused French opera house; the young soprano Christine follows a strange man known as "The Phantom" to the basement... Some days later she returns, more beautiful than ever, with a much better voice, causing jealousy to the diva - Carlotta... but the perfection is about to end as now she turns into a bloodthirsty vampire. Soon the Phantom makes more victims, turning the chorus girls into evil and bloodthirsty vampiresses! Only Christine's love can free the Phantom from his terrifying curse, but she doesn't know that.

Quality Note: The print is taken from two different RAI - TV broadcasts and is unfortunately not the best quality. Print quality is 6/10 for the first 10 mins then gets better (7/10).
