Last House in Istanbul (1974) — Three criminals attack a couple in their car, forcing the woman to dance on the hood. When the police arrive, the thugs beat a hasty retreat to the home of a doctor and take him and his family hostage. The doctor immediately gets the bright idea to offer the crooks money to leave, which backfires when they realize it's Sunday, and the baddies will have to stick around until Monday so doc can go to the bank. Much terrorizing ensues.
Turkish films are always an interesting lot, and this Turkish LHOTL rip-off is no different. The villains in this consist of a well-dressed master criminal named "The Scorpion" and his two moronic accomplices. Those used to the Italian entries in this subgenre might be expecting more rape and violence, but Turkey being an Islamic Nation pretty much precludes that. Rape does hang heavy in the air though, and it does finally happen, but it's more alluded to than graphically depicted. The thugs are without conscience though, which makes for some interesting scenes, including a shocking one where a child is dunked repeatedly in a pool!
